What is the High Sheriff Fund?

The High Sheriff of Gloucestershire is one of the oldest civic roles in the UK, supporting law, order, and community wellbeing across the county.

The High Sheriff’s Fund, managed by the Gloucestershire Community Foundation, awards multiple grants of up to £2,500 to local charities and grassroots projects that help young people build confidence, improve mental health, and reduce isolation and anti-social behaviour.

When you sell or donate through Camera Resale, you can support the High Sheriff of Gloucestershire’s Fund – helping local projects that boost confidence, wellbeing, and opportunities for young people across the county.

There are two simple ways to support the fund:

1. Donate Your Camera Equipment

We’ll handle the sale and transfer the full amount we would normally pay you straight to the High Sheriff of Gloucestershire’s Fund.

2. Donate Part of Your Payment

If you’re selling to us, you can choose to donate a portion of your payment – for example 25%, 50%, or 100% – to the Fund. Your contribution helps fund local charities and youth projects across Gloucestershire.
