Why Choose Camera Resale?
Drop-offs get paid same day. Posted lots get bank transfer within 1 working day of arrival. No "we'll come back to you next week."
Camera equipment is what we do all day, every day. We can price a mixed lot in minutes rather than days, and we'll spot value in items you might have overlooked — which usually means more money in your pocket than a general buyer would offer.
Bring the lot as it is. You don't need to separate lenses from bodies or work out what anything is. Whatever you bring in, we take — no awkward leftovers to worry about.
If we find something exceptional in a lot you've sold us — a genuinely rare piece that sells for far more than expected — we'll be in touch and share the upside with you. It's how we build long-term trade relationships instead of one-off transactions.
Questions Trade Buyers Ask Us
Pretty much anything camera-related, working or not. Film cameras (SLRs, rangefinders, medium format, compacts), digital cameras, all lenses regardless of mount, flashes, tripods, light meters, camera bags, darkroom equipment, projectors, cine cameras, and accessories. If you're not sure, WhatsApp a photo and we'll tell you within the hour.
The fastest way is a WhatsApp message with a photo or two of what you've got. We'll come back with a ballpark price for the entire lot, usually within the day during working times.
It depends on what's in the lot — a single working SLR from the 70s might be worth £30–£150 on its own, a lens can be anything from £10 to well over £500 depending on the brand and mount, and even boxes of "unknown" items often turn up something worth having. The honest answer is: send us a photo and we'll tell you exactly what your lot is worth, no obligation.
A few quick signals to check before you write anything off. First, look for interchangeable lenses — anything with a lens you can twist off has resale potential. Second, check the brand: Leica, Hasselblad, Rolleiflex, Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Olympus, Minolta, Contax, and Zeiss are all worth pulling aside. Third, bigger tends to mean better — medium and large format cameras often outperform compact 35mm ones. Fourth, check any lenses by looking through them for haze, fungus, or scratches, but don't discount damaged ones — even lenses with issues can have value. The easiest test of all: WhatsApp us a photo and we'll tell you exactly what you've got.
Yes — and any other brand you might come across in a clearance. Leica, Hasselblad, Rolleiflex, Zeiss, Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Olympus, Minolta, Mamiya, Bronica, Contax — we buy them all. The high-end brands (Leica and Hasselblad especially) are where the biggest single-item prices tend to come from, but we'll take anything camera-related, even brands most people have never heard of. A quick photo on WhatsApp is the fastest way to a price.
Yes. A lot of what turns up in house clearances hasn't been used in years and isn't in pristine condition — that's completely normal, and we're used to assessing gear as-is. Bring the working, the broken, and the "not sure if this even turns on" — we sort through it all.
Within 1 working day. Drop-offs get paid on the same day. Posted lots get bank transfer within 1 working day of arrival.
Yes. If posting is easier than driving into Gloucester, we send you a free prepaid, insured shipping label. That applies whether you're up the road in Cheltenham or further afield.
If we find a hidden gem in a lot you've sold us — a genuinely rare piece that sells for far more than expected — we'll be in touch and share the upside with you. It's how we build long-term trade relationships rather than one-off transactions.
Not as standard — we work on drop-off or post-in only. For genuinely large lots where travel isn't practical, ask us on WhatsApp and we'll see what we can arrange as an exception.
All of it. We work with house clearance companies across Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, Tewkesbury, Cirencester, the Forest of Dean, Dursley, Newent, and everywhere in between. Wherever you're clearing, we can help.
No trade account needed. WhatsApp us, drop the lot in, get paid — that's the whole process. If you'd like to set up a regular arrangement for ongoing lots, that's easy too; just mention it when you message.
